カーボン・オフセットとは

市民、企業、NPO/NGO、自治体、政府等の社会の構成員が、自らの温室効果ガスの排出量を認識し、主体的にこれを削減する努力を行うとともに、削減が困難な部分の排出量について、他の場所で実現した温室効果ガスの排出削減・吸収量等を購入すること又は他の場所で排出削減・吸収を実現するプロジェクトや活動を実施すること等により、その排出量の全部又は一部を埋め合わせることをいう。

　当該オプションは、カーボンオフセットプロバイダーとして日本政府が管理する排出権の国別登録簿管理口座を開設した�潟Gコノス（本社：札幌）より、�潟Nールスターが小口化された排出枠を購入する事で、スターリムジンの走行により排出するCo2を、国連が認証した温室効果ガス削減事業で生まれた排出権で相殺する手法を活用しております。

　オプション価格は、当社の過去1年間の走行実績から算出された排出量に基づき、当初1日当たり800円/台で設定しており、スターリムジンご利用の際、お客様のご判断により当該オプションの設定の有無をご選択頂く事が可能です。
また、当該オプションは、スターリムジンをご利用の際の全てのプランに対し適用可能であり、ご利用のお客様には「ＥＣＯＣＯ」（オフセットオプションご利用証）をお渡し致します。

　なお弊社では、当該オプションのご利用数の多寡に関らず、保有全車両の全走行距離に対するCO2排出量の6%相当分（京都議定書に基づく日本の削減目標値）について、継続的にオフセットを行って参ります。

Carbon Offset

Carbon offset means the acknowledgement of the amount of greenhouse gases emission made by citizens or members of corporations, NPO/NGO, local governments, or governments, and their voluntary efforts to reduce the amount. At the same time, carbon offset also includes any activities to balance out partial or all of their greenhouse gas emission either by purchasing quotas which another body has successfully reduced or absorbed greenhouse gases, or by implementing activities or projects to reduce or absorb greenhouse gases.

This option adopts the system where Cool Star, Co., Ltd. balances out the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by Starlimousine with the emission quotas which are obtained within the U.N. certified greenhouse gas reduction projects by purchasing the small-lot emission quotas from ECONOS Co., Ltd.(Headquarters located in Sapporo ), a carbon offset provider, who opens a directory management account for each country for emission quotas which the Japanese government controls.

The option price is \800/day/coach which has been calculated according to the amount of gas emission based on the running performance of the company last year, and it is totally up to our customer to decide whether they choose to apply for the option or not when they make a booking. This option can be applied to all travel plans using Starlimousine, and Cool Star, Co., Ltd. will offer “ECOCO”(a token to acknowledge your contribution) to those who apply for the option.

Cool Star, Co., Ltd. intends to keep offering carbon offset options for 6 % worth of the total carbon dioxide emission by all our coaches(based on the Japan’s reduction target value according to the Kyoto Protocol) no matter how many applicants we have for the options.
